The outside of me has changed a lot over the years.
First of all, I grew from a tiny baby to a full-size adult :-) Since then
I've weighed anywhere from 97 lbs to 205 lbs...currently about 175 lbs.
My eyes have always been green-brown hazel and needed correction, but sometimes that correction was
contacts, sometimes glasses...currently glasses.
Except for a very short time when I tinted it red, my hair has always been dark brown, however it
has been styled curly and straight, very long and very short and all lengths in between, pulled back and allowed to swing
forward...currently, dark brown with a little grey showing, very short boy cut, and naturally straight as a pin.
I started adulthood at 5'1 3/4"...currently measure 5'1" even.
Missing! One gallbladder and four adult teeth.
My skin started out very pale-but age and sun has darkened to not-quite-so-pale ;-)
The inside of me was shaped not only by genes, but by a variety of life experiences:
I was an only child, and didn't mind a bit. I was technically an only grandchild
until I was 21, although my aunt did have a step-son my age who was around. I'm still an only grandchild on my mother's
side. Am I spoiled and self-centered? Yes, thanks for asking!
I whetted my reading teeth on the children's books my parents provided plus my mother's old nursing
textbooks, our set of Collier's Encyclopedias, the dictionary, my dad's M.C. Escher artwork book, and anything else I could
get my hands on. I was born to read!
We moved a little: from Tulsa to Berea, KY when I was in 3rd grade; from Berea
to Tulsa, the summer after 5th grade; and Tulsa to Broken Arrow in the middle of 6th grade.
I went to school in public schools through 7th grade. For 8th and 9th, I was at Patrian/Wakefield
Academy in Tulsa. For 10th through 12th, I was at Moddy Christian Academy in Tulsa. I graduated high
school top in a class of eight in 1983.
I had one friend that I carried from childhood through adolescence. She
was the daughter of my dad's coworker. Our families would get together almost weekly, and although two years my junior,
Carrie became my closest friend. We had a falling out after I graduated from high school and our friendship never recovered.
I still think about her often and pray for her. I did have another very close friend in high school, but our lives went
in different directions after she graduated and we lost touch.
As a child I not only enjoyed reading, I also spent time playing the piano (not
well, but I enjoyed myself!), pretending to be a teacher, pretending to be a nurse, watching cartoons & sitcoms (I was
very unhappy the year that Watergate stuff pre-empted all my afterschool cartoons), riding my bike, skating on those old metal-wheeled
skates that bracketed to your shoes, and listening to mom talk on the phone while she sewed or cooked (I got to the point
where I knew who was calling by how my mother's voice changed after she first heard theirs).
My first crush was Johnny Gage/Randolph Mantooth from the TV show Emergency!
My second was T.J.. a boy I went to school and church with. My first boyfriend, Jeff, later became my first husband
and together we had my first child. After we divorced, and a few boyfriends and wild times later, I married Jay, had
two children with him, and am still with him today.
My primary pet growing up was a precious dauchsaund named Jake. We had
a bulldog named Josh when I was 5 or 6 who died as a puppy. And I enjoyed spending time with my granparents pets: Mocha,
Freckles, and Bowser. My friend, Carrie, had Jake's sister, Snippy, and we had lots of fun with the two of them.
As an adult my pets have included various mixed breeds of cats and dogs. Currently, Sammy, a blonde wire-haired terrier
mix lives with my mom and dad; and Lady, a blue heeler/lab/? mix lives with us along with 4 cats.

Education & Employment
After high school I attended various colleges with various majors, but ended up graduating from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts in Family Psychology. I took a few graduate
courses in early childhood education, but have not finished a graduate degree.
I've worked a bunch of different jobs including: retail clothing, reception/clerical,
computer, preschool teacher, child care provider, administration of child care, early childhood educator, human resources,
convience store clerk, fast food, doula, and housekeeping.
My Interests
I love to read. Read magazines, read books, read signs, read instruction manuals, read textbooks,
read the newspaper, the on the Internet, read, read, read, read, read!
I also love to be on the computer and on the Internet. I was without a computer for a long
time last year, so now that I have a new one I am doubly appreciative.
I love dogs, cats, rabbits, frog, turtles, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, and horses. I'm
not very fond of birds, snakes or bugs. And fish don't interest me at all.
I love to scrapbook. It's a very time consuming and costly hobby when done how I like it done.
I am going to be experimenting with digital scrapbooking and that might take some of the load off of my pocket book.
